Then, on June 18th of 2013, they agreed to recall Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Liberty vehicles but the recall would only be for 1.56 million vehicles and would not include those vehicles from 1999 to 2004.

After issuing the recall, Chrysler still not provide a replacement part for these vehicles and accidents continued to happen as of March 13th of 2014. On July 3rd of 2014, a letter was issued to Chrysler by federal employees asking why it has taken more than a year to begin repairing 1.56 million Jeep vehicles that were recalled the previous year. Chrysler is responding to these recalls slowly and it could take up to five years for people with these vehicles to receive a replacement part or for their vehicle to be repaired.
